Steve Munroe joins the FAPA Team with over 40 years of aviation experience in both the military and civilian sectors. He brings a passion to pilot recruitment and development, having served as a pilot mentor and contributing to the hiring of hundreds of pilots as a major airline pilot interviewer during the last two hiring cycles.

Mr. Munroe is a retired Captain for American Airlines, where he served as a Check Airman, FAA Program Designee and Standardization Coordinator. He was selected as the American Airlines “Check Airman of the Year” in 2009. As a Naval Aviator and F-14 Pilot, Mr. Munroe was promoted to Commanding Officer of VF-202 and was ranked the number one Squadron Commander in the Airwing. He has over 18,000 Flight Hours, 430 carrier arrested landings and holds an Airline Transport Rating with Type Ratings in the FK-100, B-737, B-757, B-767 and A-310 aircraft. He currently splits his flying time between his Piper Comanche 250 and J-5A Cub Cruiser.

Mr. Munroe graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a minor in Business. He is a Graduate of the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), and was an Honor Graduate of the Naval Postgraduate Aviation Safety Officers Program.

Daniel S.Huntington

Daniel S. Huntington is a Boeing 717 captain with Delta Air Lines. He previously served as first officer with American Eagle, and first officer and captain with ValuJet. Huntington, 53, is an Airline Transport Pilot, holds a Flight Engineers Certificate and has a masters degree in Math and Computer Science from Emory University.
