FREE FAPA Pilot Job Fair & Future Pilot Forum is Coming to Chicago

Certain sectors of the aviation industry are experiencing a significant shortage of qualified pilots, a scarcity of men and women to fly an increasingly large fleet of jets around the world, a gap that needs to be filled in the next 20 years.

FAPA’s Pilot Job Fair in Chicago on Saturday, September 30, from 9 AM – 12 PM will be held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. The event is FREE to all pilots. This pilot job fair is a regional and Part 135 only event. It will bring recruiters and active pilots together. Airlines recruiting are Piedmont Airlines, Envoy Air, Air Wisconsin, Compass Airlines, Everts Air Cargo, ExpressJet, Gama Aviation, GoJet Airlines, Mesa Airlines, Republic Airline, SkyWest Airlines, and US Customs and Border Protection/Air & Marine Operations. Qualified pilots should register for free at FAPA.aero/Jobs.

FAPA (Future and Active Pilot Advisors), the pilot career consulting company, and its partners Piedmont Airlines and Envoy Air, are ‘Building the Pilot Pipeline’™ by inviting career changers and aspiring pilots of all ages – career changers, students and their families, separating military personnel, and future pilots of all backgrounds – to FAPA Future Pilot Forums to learn about the pathways to a professional pilot career. School counselors are also encouraged to attend to also learn how to talk to students about professional pilot careers. The Chicago FAPA Future Pilot Forum will be from 1 PM – 6 PM.

The FREE forums educate future pilots about pathways to professional pilot careers including information about scholarships, veterans' benefits, college choices, flight school options, an industry outlook and more. The event will also include a complimentary showing of the inspirational National Geographic documentary Living in the Age of Airplanes. FAPA, Piedmont Airlines, Envoy Air and others will host round table discussions for a personalized experience. Presentations and prize drawings start at 1 PM sharp and will conclude by 6 PM. All attendees should pre-register. All attendees should register for free at FAPA.aero/FuturePilot.

Piedmont Airlines and Envoy Air are FAPA Platinum Partners. They will be recruiting at every FAPA Pilot Job Fair. They will be giving presentations at all Future Pilot Forums which will be available by video in the FAPA.aero video library.

The FAPA Pilot Job Fair (9 AM – 12 PM) and the FAPA Future Pilot Forum (1 PM – 6 PM), will be held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, 9300 W Bryn Mawr Ave, Rosemont, IL 60018. Parking is $15 for daytime events or overnight with validation available at the FAPA registration table.

Airlines recruiting are UPS, Piedmont Airlines, Envoy Air, Air Wisconsin, Everts Air Cargo, ExpressJet, Gama Aviation, GoJet Airlines, Mesa Airlines, Republic Airline and SkyWest Airlines. It's free for pilots to talk to all regional and 135 airlines. There is a fee to speak with UPS. Qualified pilots may register and learn more at FAPA.aero/Jobs.

FAPA's Aviation Row at ASCA Conference

Certain sectors of the aviation industry are experiencing a significant shortage of qualified pilots, a scarcity of men and women to fly an increasingly large fleet of jets around the world, a gap that needs to be filled in the next 20 years.

What this means for school counselors and students is this is a great time for students to research and consider professional pilot careers. School counselors are in a unique position to guide and educate their students about the career.

FAPA (Future and Active Pilot Advisors), the pilot career consulting company and its aviation partners are doing their part to build the pilot pipeline by inviting school counselors to come to FAPA's Aviation Row to learn what to tell their students about the pathways to a professional pilot career.

Airlines and organizations participating on FAPA's Aviation Row are Metropolitan State University of Denver, Piedmont Airlines, West Virginia Institute of Technology & Flight Safety, California Aeronautical University (CAU), Endeavor Air, GoJet Airlines, Horizon Air, Mesa Airlines, Skywest Airlines and Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA). More are expected to register.

There will be a drawing for prizes for those who visit each booth on FAPA's Aviation Row at ASCA. FAPA will also invite school counselors to register online for a free resource guide about speaking with students about professional pilot careers. FAPA will also be offering students a free FAPA Future Pilot membership to providing access to tailored resources including a video library of FAPA Future Pilot Forums and other educational resources for students who want to learn more.
