Captain Andy Simonds

Senior Staff Writer

Captain AndySimonds

In 1980, Captain Andy Simonds first soloed in a beat-up fire-prone Cessna 152 Aerobat in Madison, Wisconsin.   After a tour in general aviation as a CFI and Part 135 charter pilot, Andy started collecting uniforms from American Eagle, TWA, Airborne Express and, finally, American Airlines where he is currently a B-737 captain.  Whether left seat, right seat, back seat or jumpseat he never met an airplane he didn't like.

In an effort to improve his seniority (while believing there is comfort in crowds), Andy has been continually involved with airline pilot recruiting, interviewing, career counseling, aviation seminars and aviation writing.

Client Testimonials

Hired at SkyWest Airlines

Hi Louis, Here's a quick note to say that my nephew's experience with the premium member FAPA interview preparations was excellent. He interviewed with SkyWest yesterday and was offered a job 45 minutes later. His CRJ class begins this month. He said that his mock interview and the suggestions he received from FAPA were quite valuable and that he was told that he "hit it out of the ballpark" on the HR portion of the interview. His father and I are so pleased that his aviation career is progressing so well.
